Francis is a family man. He is married and has three sons, a grandson, and a grandaughter. His wife, Jo Ann, is a principal with Albuquerque Public Schools. Their sons --- Kevin, Keith and Kent --- are grown college graduates.

Francis graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in history and physical education in 1962 where he also played basketball for four years with the Lobos. He began teaching that fall. He completed a doctorate in 1975 and served as an administrator at Eldorado, Rio Grande, and Manzano High Schools. Early in his career he taught at Yucca Elementary Schools and Madison Middle School. In 1989, after 28 years in the school district, he retired and changed careers.Adobe Homes

Francis selected real estate because he enjoys helping people and also enjoys living in Albuquerque.

He has varied interests. A great fisherman, he spends as much time on the San Juan River in northern New Mexico as possible, He and Jo Ann travel as much as possible when time permits. Much of his time is also devoted to serving in several different capacities with the Albuquerque Association of Educational Retirees. He also follows his interest in history as a member of the NM Historical Society.

Francis and Jo Ann are active members of the Risen Savior Catholic Community.
