Media firm moves to Albuquerque
Albuquerque officials are cheering news of a national corporate editorial firm's plan to bring 125 jobs to the city. PR Newswire, a New York company that distributes corporate news releases to newsrooms worldwide, announced plans to build and operate an operations and customer service center in Albuquerque.
The facility will become the headquarters for PR Newswire's regional bureaus for the Midwest and West Coast regions. The facility will be staffed yearround, 24 hours a day. It will include a series of technology features, including voice-over-Internet-protocol phone systems linking all of PR Newswire's U.S. personal.
Albuquerque was chosen for its low cost of living, affordable real estate, a strong work force and a track record of other companies' successes running customer service centers in the area.
